
Ms. Celedonia Franco is a passionate musician, educator, and conductor with an extensive background in performance, choral leadership, and music education. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines College of Music, earning her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2011. She is also the co-founder and first president of UP Tiklado, the first and only piano organization in UP that continues to thrive to this day.
Teacher Cel is also the founder and owner of The Music Classroom PH, a vibrant music studio dedicated to nurturing young musicians and fostering a love for music. Through her leadership, the studio has become a space where students thrive artistically and personally.
From 2012 to 2015, Teacher Cel was a proud member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the most celebrated and award-winning choral ensembles in the world. She traveled with the group across Europe, the USA, South America, and Asia, performing in concerts, festivals, and workshops that showcased Filipino artistry on a global scale.
In 2016, she pursued BM Choral Conducting at UP to further develop her expertise in choral direction. She has also trained in Kodály applications in Choral Conducting (2018, 2019), equipping her with innovative tools for choral music education.
In 2021, Teacher Cel expanded her teaching expertise by training online under the renowned Ukrainian pedagogue, Professor Irina Gorin, whose methods have shaped her approach to piano pedagogy and music education.
Her conducting experience includes leading esteemed youth choirs such as the Miriam College High School Liturgical Choir, the Immaculate Conception Academy High School Glee Club, the Arya Vocal Ensemble, Philippine Home School Chorale and the UP Law Charivari.
