
Fiona Theresa Muñoz-Rivera is a music/piano teacher from the University of the Philippines , College of Music major in Music Education. She also went to St. Paul College of Music major in Piano. With considerable experience in teaching different ages and skill levels ranging from beginners to advanced. Particularly adept at teaching children and younger students. Able to teach a variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, improvisations, coaching students taking examinations and performing live on stage. Uses a effective variety of specialist techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable. Helps students to understand musical theory as a basis to their learning. She also teaches basic violin and voice.
She won 3rd prize the National Competition for young artists (NAMCYA) for piano in 1995. Second Place for Haydn Concerto Competition, a Makabata awardee for performing arts grand price winner, grand finalists for Beethoven Competition. Has attended the master classes of piano Virtuosos and Pedagogues including the Russian Legend Pascal Nemirovski. Has been a member of the University of the Philippines Cherubim and Seraphim Choir, University of the Philippines, Diliman. She’s also a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Public Administration.
